“There are very few things in life that can have a real impact on people’s lives -
homeopathy is one of them”
(Marcus Fernandez, Founder of the Centre for Homeopathic Education)
Why homeopathy?
Homeopathy enhances health and well-being. We all have innate health, but through life there are times when we struggle - mentally and physically - and we may develop “dis-eases”. I believe the body always strives towards health, but sometimes needs a little help. This is where homeopathy comes in. Carefully selected homeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s own self-healing mechanisms. Homeopathy is very powerful. It is the kind of medicine that needs to be experienced to be believed.
Homeopathy can also be taken to strengthen your vital force and make you more resilient against developing ill-health in the first place. In this sense, homeopathy can be used as a preventative medicine.
Homeopathy is suitable for everyone. All the way from childhood (I wish my parents would have known) through the trials of life and into older age, when we would like to stay as healthy as possible both physically and mentally.
What happens during the consultation?
Consultations usually take around one hour. If you don’t live locally, on-line or telephone appointments are good options. For children, appointments are tailor-made to suit your child and your particular family.
Consultations cover in detail what you want treated and your own unique symptom picture. The symptoms that we develop are like signposts and these symptoms are used to find the best possible remedies for you.
In homeopathy, we look at each person holistically - mentally, emotionally and physically. Sometimes, I use timelines so that we can explore why you have may developed an illness at a certain time in your life.
I am both classically and practically trained and my approach is determined by what is most likely to bring about a gentle and effective cure for you.
Are there any risks with homeopathy?
No, homeopathy can safely be taken by anyone including infants and pregnant women. It is a completely safe system of medicine with no side-effects or dependencies. Homeopathic remedies can also be taken whilst on conventional medication.
And a little bit about me
I came to homeopathy in my late 20s. At that time, I suffered with repeated infections and I had taken antibiotics for more than 10 years when I started to show signs of antibiotic resistance. When my doctor announced that he couldn’t do anything more for me, I realised I had to take charge over my own health. It was a wake-up moment. I contacted my local homeopath and admittedly didn’t think the small homeopathic pills would do much. To my surprise, they cleared my next infection. This was the turning point in my life.
I qualified as a Homeopath in 2006 from the Centre for Homeopathic Education in London. I have now been involved with homeopathy for more than 20 years having worked initially as a Homeopath in London, then in my native Sweden and since 2012 at Healthworks in Forres.
